Purity Preserved. Cold-Pressed Perfection.
Every bottle of Jia Naturals wood-pressed oil carries a promise that goes back generations — no heat, no chemicals, no shortcuts. In a market flooded with refined oils stripped of their nutrition, we chose to slow things down. What you get is cold-pressed oil the way nature intended it: dense in flavour, rich in nutrients, and honest about how it's made.
Good oil starts long before the Ghani ever turns. Every batch of copra, sunflower seed, groundnut, or sesame that enters our Visakhapatnam facility is checked against a strict moisture window — not too dry, not too wet — because moisture content decides how clean the extraction is and how much natural goodness survives it.
It's a small detail most oil brands skip. We don't — because it's the first decision that determines the last drop of quality.
This is where the "Ghani" in wood-pressed oil earns its place.
Our oil is extracted using traditional wood and stone Ghani machines — two 20 KG automatic units built on IE-4 motor technology. Unlike steel expellers that generate high friction heat, the wood and stone components of a Ghani absorb that heat instead of transferring it into the oil.
Why does this matter for cold-pressed oil quality? Heat is the enemy of nutrition. The moment oil crosses a certain temperature threshold, delicate essential fatty acids, natural antioxidants, and vitamins like E and K begin to break down. By keeping the extraction slow and cool, we make sure what goes into the bottle is as close as possible to what nature put into the seed.
Once the oil is pressed, most commercial producers reach for chemical solvents to extract every last drop, then refine it to make it look "clean." We don't.
There is no hexane, no other hydrocarbon solvent, no bleaching clay, and no artificial preservative anywhere in our chemical-free oil-making process. What comes out of the Ghani is what goes into the bottle — nothing added, nothing stripped away. It's a slower, lower-yield way of doing things, but it's the only way to keep an oil truly natural.
Freshly pressed oil isn't crystal clear — it carries fine particles from the seed itself. Instead of forcing clarity through chemical treatment or heavy filtration, we let gravity do the work.
The oil rests undisturbed, allowing natural sedimentation to settle out impurities on its own. It's then passed through a cold micro-fabric filter — no heat, no pressure, no chemical aid — just a gentle final pass that leaves the oil clear without touching its composition.
From Ghani to bottle, every step is designed to protect what makes cold-pressed oil valuable in the first place. Because the oil is dense and full-flavoured, a little goes further — most households find they use up to 20% less oil in everyday cooking, without compromising on taste.
And with more of the naturally occurring good fats (MUFAs) intact, it's a choice that's kinder to the heart as well as the plate.
Cold-pressed the traditional way isn't the fastest way to make oil. It's simply the most honest one — and it's the only way we know how to do it.
